At the heart of the LAYA beachfront community will be an inclusive club that is a hub of social activities and entertainment for residents and resort guests.

There is no better way to explore LAYA and its beaches than on horseback.

Being pampered certainly is part of the quality of life you should expect at a resort, and future spa will be a key component of meeting that expectation.

The open-air palapas will be only a few feet from the ocean, and you’ll be lulled by the whisper of the waves and rustling breeze as you revel in the long strokes and deep kneading of a Swedish massage.

Additional treatments and services are planned for the future as the spa expands, but we’re always happy to respond to specific needs with a custom program.

The planned care clinic’s professional staff will provide first aid and minor medical services, as well as emergency services that include transportation, when necessary, via helicopter to an excellent, fully staffed medical facility.

LAYA will maintain communications and working relationships with area medical facilities to ensure availability of services and timely response.

This includes the highly regarded Hospital Metropolitano Vivian Pellas in Managua, which is one of only four hospitals in Central America accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the international arm of U.S.-based The Joint Commission.

Oceanfront Lagoon

Laya is breaking the mold by bringing the absolute best to the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua featuring a large lagoon, the only one of its kind in Nicaragua and the wider region.

Las Breñas Farmer's Market

Coming soon, owners and guests can visit the Las Breñas Farmers Market for an amazing variety of organic fruits and vegetables, freshly-caught seafood, eggs, cheeses and herbs, along with a selection of prepared foods. Local artisans also showcase their work at the market.

Club del Azúcar

Just steps away from the wide, soft sand beach and warm waves of the Pacific Ocean is our Club del Azúcar, a private members club where you, your family and friends can lounge beneath the tropical sun and enjoy the refreshing waters of the infinity pool. Once there, you’ll never want to leave the magic of this place.

Nicarao Cultural Center

The Cultural Center will be a place of learning and a source of civic pride for our owners, guest, the Nicaraguan people, and our neighboring communities. We hope that our visitors will be fascinated by our exhibits and learn about Nicaragua’s remarkable history and culture. Whether you choose a self-guided or group tour, you will have the opportunity to experience the journey of the Nicaraguan people.

Plumeria Spa

Located in the LAYA Boutique Hotel, the spa will offer an extensive list of five-star amenities to resort owners and guests. With the most discriminating attention to detail, the spa will be one of the region’s premier destinations for pampering, relaxation, and wellness, with a full range of day spa services including massage, facials, body therapy, rituals, nail care, waxing, eyelash, and eyebrow tinting and hair services. Los Establos

Los Establos is a horseback riding facility providing family fun year round. Ride along miles of marked trails that meander along a mountain, over hills and other trails within the resort’s 600+ acres.

El Madroño Village

El Madroño Village at LAYA will be the hub of community entertainment. Decorated with beautiful fountains and sculptures from various local and well-known artists. El Madroño Village will also include an outdoor performance stage and seating area that will be available for the viewing of live shows.

Care Clinic

LAYA will have a care clinic to provide medical and health services to the resort community. The facility will be a modular building consisting of a reception area, a physician’s office, an examining room and of course, a washroom. It’s the resort’s s objective to operate this facility and to fundraise for comprehensive emergency care and health services center.

Attractions

The area around LAYA is rich in history and culture, with the cities of Granada, Leon and Rivas, and other smaller towns and villages, within easy driving distance.
